Breast Augmentation

WHAT IS BREAST AUGMENTATION?

A straightforward cosmetic operation called breast augmentation tries to restructure the breasts by making them rounder, fuller, and larger. In this treatment, silicone and saline liquid fillings are most frequently employed. The cosmetic physician chooses the type of filling based on the patient's age, body type, and skin type, as well as the necessary size and desired outcomes. The latter is thought to be particularly important.

SILICONE FILLINGS

Give a natural look to the breast shape, as it consists of a silicone shell filled with silicone gel, which is a transparent viscous liquid that is similar in composition to deciduous glands that make up the breast. A woman must be over 20 to be suitable for a breast augmentation procedure with silicone fillings.

SALINE LIQUID FILLINGS

Give a larger size to the breast than silicone fillings, and are made of brine (a strong saline solution) inside a silicone rubber membrane. It can be filled with different quantities depending on the required size. A woman must be over 18 to be suitable for a breast augmentation procedure with saline fillings. Breast augmentation surgery is done for other therapeutic purposes, such as the stage following breast cancer treatment, or to achieve symmetry.

WHO IS SUITABLE FOR BREAST AUGMENTATION

There are a few requirements that must be met before a woman can get breast augmentation surgery.

She needs to be older than eighteen and have finished growing her breasts.

Must be in good health and free from any conditions that could jeopardise the procedure's outcome.

Women whose breasts alter size as a result of losing weight, getting pregnant again, giving birth, or nursing.

Women who have lost their breasts as a result of mishaps or cancer.

Women who experience asymmetry, lack of fullness, and differences in breast size.

Ladies who feel self-conscious about their overall look because of their breast size.

STAGES OF BREAST AUGMENTATION

1. Conducting clinical examinations The doctor examines the breast and determines the desired size which commensurates with the shape of the body and is required to be done through breast augmentation surgery.

2. Conducting the necessary tests Conducting the necessary blood tests to identify blood sugar levels, and to make sure that the patient is free of diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, or immunodeficiency, that would hinder breast augmentation procedures.

3. Preparing the patient The medical staff prepares the patient and the anesthesiologist administers general anesthesia for the patient.

4. Breast augmentation The doctor makes a tiny incision, which helps him insert the fillings into the breast, giving it the desired size.

It is important to mention that breast augmentation cannot correct severely sagging breasts. Sometimes a breast lift is required along with breast augmentation procedure and it is up to your doctor to decide whether you can undergo the breast lift on the same day as your breast augmentation or during another scheduled operation.
